Our In-House Screen Printing Process
Six Step Screen Printing Process
1. Art Submission
The first step is to send us your desired art as a high-resolution vector file. Should you have any questions or encounter any issues in doing so, our printing pros will be available and happy to assist.
2. Proof Approval
As soon as we have the design file, our team will get to work digitizing your art! We aim to provide you with a proof within 24-48 hours.
Once the digital proof meets with your liking, you can give us the green light to move into the acquisition phase.
3. Product Acquisition
With your approval on the digital proof, we’re off to the races! Now, it’s time to lock down the specific material(s) upon which we will print your art.
You are welcome to provide your own materials, however, we prefer to source the materials ourselves when it comes to screen printing. This is because (a) certain fabrics and merchandise are unsuitable for printing, (b) we know what we’re looking for, and (c) leveraging our vendor relationships tends to lead to a better final product for the customer.
If you would still like to provide your own goods for any reason though, this is perfectly fine. In such a case, our studio techs will inspect the provided items you bring in to ensure they are conducive to a high-quality final product (polyesters are often a safe bet).
4. Finalization
By this point, you will have a clear sense of how your t-shirt, jacket, or other item is going to turn out. While any desired edits should already be submitted and in place, it’s still wise to double check that any remaining questions and/or specification considerations have been communicated and adequately addressed prior to production.
5. Production
As production begins, our techs begin working from your approved proof. They use the special equipment our studio owns to cure all of the required inks at 350 degrees and run them through a furnace so they can dry.
6. Delivery
All told, custom screen print deliveries take 2-3 weeks. However, we do offer an expedited delivery option should you need your items more quickly.
Kind Words About Us
Frequently Asked Questions
Artwork via email is best. For embroidery, we require digital artwork (typically .PNG, .JPG, and .JIF). When working with print (screen print or promotional items), it’s best to use vector artwork (artwork that can be scaled to any size). File types are usually .AI, .SVG, or .EPS.
Quality takes time, but we get it — sometimes two weeks is too long. That’s why our team provides a rush turnaround option for customers who need us to prioritize their project in order to expedite delivery.
We sure do! After three and a half decades in the business, we have access to just about every supplier in the industry. Let us know what you need, and we’ll make it happen.
Nope! No project is too small. Moreover, since everything we do is by custom order, your small project will benefit from the same artisanal craftsmanship and state-of-the-art production equipment as each of our larger projects.
