Our In-House Embroidery Process
Six Step Embroidery Process
1. Art Submission
To kick things off, the customer will send us a file containing the artwork they would like to have embroidered. We do not require vector art files. Customers can feel free to send their preferred file type, so long as the design is clear and all writing is legible.
2. Proof Creation
Once our team receives the art file, we will begin the work of digitizing the design and plotting out stitch points. A note: pricing is based on the number of stitches alone; the number of colors in a design will never affect the cost. Our standard turnaround time to create this type of file is 24-48 hours.
Once our production team has successfully digitized the artwork and plotted out each point to stitch, we will then send the file to the client for their approval.
3. Product Acquisition
Upon approval, we move into the item sourcing phase. Customers may bring in their own goods for embroidering or leverage our industry resources to acquire whatever product materials they choose.
4. Color Selection
Is there anything more exciting than deciding on design colors? In step four, it’s time for the customer to pick out their embroidery palette. Most go with what best reflects their existing brand, but it can also be cool to shake things up with something a little different! The sky’s the limit!
5. Production
This is the part where we do what we do! Working from the proof, our production artists use in-house machines to artisinally embroider your items to the highest possible quality.
6. Delivery
It will take our production team 7-10 days from first stitch to delivery. We do offer rush order fulfillment for those cases when customers require speedier delivery.
Kind Words About Us
Frequently Asked Questions
Artwork via email is best. For embroidery, we require digital artwork (typically .PNG, .JPG, and .JIF). When working with print (screen print or promotional items), it’s best to use vector artwork (artwork that can be scaled to any size). File types are usually .AI, .SVG, or .EPS.
We can embroider just about anything! While some designs may be too small or too intricate to embroider, or too large for traditional methods, we’re always happy to work with our clients to find a solution. For larger designs, we can explore techniques like tackle twill and appliqué embroidery, or offer silk screening as a cost-effective alternative for bigger sizes and quantities.
Quality takes time, but we get it — sometimes two weeks is too long. That’s why our team provides a rush turnaround option for customers who need us to prioritize their project in order to expedite delivery.
We sure do! After three and a half decades in the business, we have access to just about every supplier in the industry. Let us know what you need, and we’ll make it happen.
Nope! No project is too small. Moreover, since everything we do is by custom order, your small project will benefit from the same artisanal craftsmanship and state-of-the-art production equipment as each of our larger projects.
