Our History
In 1993, our little team planted a flag in Columbus, Ohio. Ever since, we’ve been on the absolute journey of a lifetime.
The Embroidery Design Group has delivered custom designs to a staggering range of industries, organizations, and individuals for nearly four decades. Here’s the history of where we’ve been…and where we’re headed!
1993-2020
In 1993, Mary Bandeen leveraged her experience as a clothing buyer and president of a wholesale company to open Embroidery Design Group. We purchased our own equipment and began connecting with clients we still serve to this day. Over our first quarter century, we refined our process, expanded our service offerings, and solidified our reputation in the world of embroidery and custom design.
2020 – Present & Beyond
In 2020, Mary sold ownership of EDG to current owner Eric Nori. The two agreed to leverage Mary’s continued involvement in a less day-to-day capacity while Eric began growing the business so that we could serve more and more people. Today, we’re still in that growth process and going strong. Under Eric’s ownership, we’ve modernized our digital presence while holding on to the core of EDG’s tight-knit, non-hierarchical approach to delivering our ever-expanding service offerings to every corner of the globe.
